"But I do not consider my life as of any value, nor as precious to myself, if only I may accomplish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God: Acts 20:24

Back at School ...

Well, I'm back at Seminary after a few weeks off. Sorry for the time between posts. The last part of the spring semester was really busy and I just got out of the habit of posting, so what do you do when you fail? Get back up and try again! Thanks for you patience and I hope to get back on a regular schedule of posting again. Last semester ended well, I got everything done eventually and I am still waiting for one more grade, but I thought I did well for my first semester. There are a ton of things that happened and I may go back and share some of them, but for now I will focus on the present and the Summer classes that I have.
Summer (and Winter) classes (called J-Terms) are a lot different that those in regular full semesters. Basically they cram all of the lectures into a week period (Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm). You are responsible for reading outside of class and writing papers outside of class to be submitted later. I try to take some of the classes I am least interested in or those that are less critical this way. The classes I have this summer are Introduction to Missiology (study of Missions, the class I have now), History of the Baptist and Systematic Theology 3. The last two are both in July.
A short post I know, but will try to do something a little longer later in the week!

  1. When you get some extra time (wink wink) I'd love to read a post all about your spiritual disciplines class!

  2. I want to do that as well, so keep watching. Hope to share with the Sunday School class Dr. Whitney's teaching on Family Devotions as well.

    Thanks for commenting.
