What kind of people attend Seminary?

Some of you may be curious as to who actually attends a Seminary like Southern. Well I am still learning and really have been engaged in my studies to the degree I have not gotten out much. But, I can tell you a few things that I have picked up along the way.

  1. Students consider it a great privilege and blessing to be here.
  2. They have a great respect for the faculty and especially President Mohler for the stand he has taken that has helped make Southern what it is today.
  3. They know this (seminary) isn't the real world. This is only preparation time. By the way, Southern requires that all students have a local church and be involved in ministry there.
  4. Deep respect for God's Word, desire to know it, and being obedient to it.
  5. They are loving and caring.
  6. 75% or so of the Professors are also Pastor's of a local Church.
It may seem to good to be true, but I can honestly say, I have seen no bad behavior, bad language, or any form of disrespect of any kind since being here.
